The Blue Pool: simply stunning scenery with fab art deco tearoom.

Brownsea Island: take a boat trip from Poole Harbour to see the red squirrels and other wildlife.  

Arne Nature Reserve: gorgeous nature walks, featured on Springwatch on TV.

Kimmeridge & The Etches Collection Fossil Museum: fossils collected at Kimmeridge, as seen on ‘Attenborough and the Giant Sea Monster’.

Holme for Gardens: Not just a garden centre and cafe, this has the most beautiful gardens to wander around.

Poole: lots going on at the harbour and great shops too.

Bournemouth: fantastic beach and super shops.

Hengistbury Head & Mudeford Spit: There’s a cute land train from Hengistbury Head (the other side of Bournemouth beach) to Mudeford Spit, and you’ll love to walk along its beach with the prettiest beach huts you’ll ever see! 

Monkey World: monkey sanctuary with fab play park for the kids.

The Tank Museum: at Bovington - great for all ages. The tank display is a great watch.

Sculpture by the Lakes: beautiful gardens with sculptures.

Dorset Adventure Park: giant inflatable fun on the water!

Dorchester Dinosaur Museum: great for a rainy day out with the kids.
